Family Dentist AK005, South East Kansas

This exclusive private general family dentist practice has been operating as a sole proprietary operation in this southeast Kansas community since 1975 and represents a fantastic opportunity for a new owner to launch into a very successful and cash flow positive business with great opportunities for growth. Serving their community for nearly 40 years, the practice has established a great reputation and receives constant referrals as well as repeat patients (over 85%). The owner and dentist is 64 years young and would like to retire within the next 1 to 2 years and is willing to stay on to mentor and help transition the business to a new owner for an agreed upon time. As the owner has approached retirement they have cut back on their hours to only operate three days a week, which represents a prime opportunity for a new owner to increase hours and advertising to bring in more revenue. With five fully equipped operatories, the practice offers a full range of general dentistry services including but not limited to; cleanings, extractions, restorative fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, partials, and restorative procedures for implants. The practice also offers cosmetic dental services such as bondings, porcelain veneers, inlays, onlays, and teeth whitening as well as preventative procedures such as fluoride treatments, exams, and sealants. The current owner has done a fantastic job of keeping the practice up-to-date with modern equipment and a fully computerized business-suite as well as digital x-ray capabilities and compliance with ADA sterilization standards, creating a truly state of the art dental practice. Scheduling and billing are processed using Eagle Soft technology. Other equipment includes; two Schick digital sensors, a Midmark Ultraclave sterilization machine, a SciCam Statim sterilization machine, an Adec Assistina equipment cleaner, and an Air Techniques AirStar Compressor in addition to the fully equipped operatory rooms. The sale would include all of the assets, equipment, supplies and a well-established patient list. The building and premises are owned by the owner who would prefer that these assets transfer with the business. The building is located in the downtown area of its Kansas community along one of the main business streets and within its 2000 sq. feet it includes five operatory/treatment rooms, a comfortable waiting area, a receptionist/office area, a more private personal office/records room, and a sterilization station. Aside from the owner, the practice currently employs five people including two dental hygienists, two dental assistants, and a secretary. The practice currently experiences an average of 6 new patients per month and has over 1100 active patients. In 2012, the practice experienced over 3500 patient visits implying that the average revenue per active patient is ~$500. Currently the practice grosses $570K+ in gross revenues (2013) and profit / income to the business is estimated to be in excess of $80K (or 14%+ of revenue which is in line with industry expectations). Annual discretionary cash flow earnings to a single new owner, i.e. adjusted EBITDA, is estimated by the owner to be around 40% - 45%, i.e. ~ $225K (before any new owner compensation / remuneration), sufficient for a new outright owner to service any debt financing. The estimated value range of this practice from operations is between $250K and $355K (excluding cash, receivables, inventory, liabilities and facilities).

* Adjusted EBITDA = EBIT plus Depreciation and Adjustments (excluding Owners compensation)
